About Steinhoff UK, parent company to Harveys and Benson for Beds, had historically sourced their window cleaning on a store-by-store basis. They did not have many bonafide contractors in place and no national contracts. They felt that with hundreds of sites across the UK, going national would be a huge task. Solution During meetings between Steinhoff and ARL, together we looked at the advantages and disadvantages of taking Steinhoff national, including how it would impact the Steinhoff support teams and individual stores. Steinhoff were very keen to get their window cleaning estate under control and were impressed with ARL’s direct coverage. Uniformed pricing, one port of call, 24-hour help desk and one invoice per month were all the things that would help to manage their window cleaning estate more efficiently and easily. As an added value, we wanted to ensure that they would only pay for what they got and set them up on ARL’s E-Clean® service, which provides automatic sign-off for each completed clean, taking the worry and the work out of compliance. It became quite clear to Steinhoff that there was only one way forward!
